Ever since I discovered the ‘I Can Make Shoes’ online courses a few years ago, I’ve been dreaming of creating my own macrame sandals. If you’re looking to add a touch of macrame charm to your feet this summer, try my free macrame sandals tutorial with I can make Shoes.
I was so excited when Amanda, the founder of ICMS, agreed to collaborate to make macrame sandals, in one of my favourite colours for the summer, yellow! Not only were we going to make sandals, but we also came up with the idea of having them with heels!
Elegant yet comfortable, these sandals scream boho summer vibes all over, perfect for summer weddings and everyday wear.
If you ever wanted to make macrame shoes, keep reading, as this is your chance to learn how to make a pair of stylish macrame sandals that will elevate your summer style.
Ready to make your own macrame sandals shoes?
In this blog, I’ll share a video on how to make the upper part of the macrame sandals and a video tutorial, by Amanda on how to make the rest of the shoes.
This is a fun macrame plus shoe-making project that you are going to love making, and I promise you that everyone will want to know where you got them from!
Next, you need to select your string, I used 100% recycled cotton and made in the UK string by BIlibagfactory 3mm braided string in colour Lemon here. I recommend braided string for durability and cleanability, check this blog about how to look after your macrame here.
